Master COD MW4 Multiplayer With U4GM's Beta Guide
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set to arrive on October 23, 2026, with Beta Weekend 1 running from August 21 to August 25. The first look suggests Infinity Ward is aiming for a heavier, more grounded war story, while the multiplayer side is making a few changes that should affect how people play. If you're planning to jump in early, Modern Warfare 4 Boosting may appeal to players who want to keep pace with the beta's unlocks and progression.

A Campaign That Starts in the Trenches

The opening mission, "Losing Ground," drops players into a North Korean invasion of South Korea. There's no slow build. The action begins with South Korean Marines trying to hold a collapsing line. You play as Private Park, a young soldier fighting beside Jae, Cho and American Marine Dunn. The tone feels rough and personal. Mud, cramped trenches and confused orders replace the usual polished heroics. A later mission moves to New York, where Captain Price continues his unofficial operations away from the chain of command.

Multiplayer Changes That Matter

The Riot Shield is no longer a normal primary weapon. It now works as a destructible Field Upgrade, which should make corner camping much less frustrating. Sustained gunfire can break it, so players will have to use cover properly rather than sit behind an unbreakable wall. Ground War also returns, bringing tanks and aircraft scorestreaks into the fight. For smaller matches, the beta shows a Mumbai map with moving trains and an urban location called Kill Block. One clip also features an AK-47 fitted with an underbarrel grenade launcher.

Weapons, Operators and Beta Content

Modern Warfare 4 is adding Apex attachments, earned by fully levelling a weapon. These are not simple stat boosts. One revealed muzzle module can stun enemies when it fires, giving aggressive players another way to clear tight spaces. Nineteen weapons are expected in the beta, though only a few have been shown so far. Pre-order customers get the Hunter Killer operator, a MIL-SIM soldier from the fictional Korean unit Amyeongdae. Vault Edition buyers receive a bespoke Ghost skin and the Blix operator. A bulky Juggernaut-style fighter has also appeared, carrying what looks like a belt-fed heavy weapon.

What Weekend 2 Could Bring

Weekend 1 is focused on standard multiplayer and Ground War. Weekend 2 should widen the test with Warzone integration and the new Resurgence map, currently known as Zodiac. Players are still waiting for details on PC requirements, download size, progression rewards and the complete weapon list. That extra information will matter, especially for anyone deciding whether the Vault Edition is worth it. If you want to prepare for the grind before the wider rollout, buy Modern Warfare 4 Boosting only after checking which beta rewards and progression rules actually carry forward.
